I am a twenty-something Australian currently dedicating time to travel and things that allow me to flex my creative capabilities, while in search of my perfect work/travel balance. While doing my best to live the life I imagined for myself I hope that I can inspire others to similarly divert from their daily 9 to 5/routine and travel (or work abroad) for a weekend, two weeks, a month or maybe even a year.

Where have I traveled?

Oceania: Australia (home country), Vanuatu Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zanzibar, South Africa, Morocco Europe: Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, England, Ireland Asia: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Bali, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, North Korea (DMZ), South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Qatar, Philippines, United Arab Emirates North America: United States Central America: Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica

Why ‘Don’t Live For Your Weekend’?

This was advice I received from my father after starting full-time employment. For as long as I can remember I’ve been a ‘planner’ and took comfort in knowing where I’d be in 6 months, a year or even five years. Despite always having a love of travel and travelling domestically from a very young age, it wasn’t until unexpectedly deviating from my plans that I discovered my desire to travel long term. I don’t believe in postponing travel until the twilight of my life and am taking every opportunity to see the world while I’m young.

How Do I Afford To Travel?

My travel thus far has been entirely self funded from jobs both in Australia and abroad.
